| The Rotary 3 Counties Flood Appeal Committee has now paid nearly £250,000 to 35 individual groups and more claims have been approved. Awards vary from £100 to £74,000. The £47,000 originally collected locally has been supplemented from the National appeals, which reached £800,000 thanks to the Naomi Campbell-inspired "Fashion for Relief" show. | PDG Mike Gelder has just returned from a visit to the District's Tsunami-relief project in India. The first 59 homes for people in Nizampatnam, India, supported by District 1100, are complete, and the rest of the work is proceeding well. Pictures and a full report are available here. |
