RYLA 2010 Course |

The RYLA course in 2010 will run from the evening of Tuesday 27th July to Sunday 1st August
at the Dean Field Studies Centre. Parkend, Lydney, Gloucestershire.
The Center is Bristol City Council's residential centre for Outdoor Learning and
Environmental |

education. It situated in the Forest of Dean, an area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty with woods, fields, rivers and lakes adjacent, and provides

The course is developed by leader Steve Thomas through his company GrassRoutes specifically

Each course participant improves his/her leadership and
communication skills through a series of challenging, practical and theoretical tasks. |
|
Team tackle exciting, confidence building exercises, enabling members to develop their self-esteem.
Activities include a ropes course, canoeing, climbing, caving, abseiling and orienteering. |

The programme is carefully structured so that activities are backed by theory. All participants
set their own objectives and progress is reviewed throughout the course. |

Prospective young leaders aged between 16 and 18 are invited to contact their local Rotary Club
to enquire about our RYLA 2010 course. Successful participants will be fully sponsored by Rotary.
