A young chef in action
WELCOME everyone to the Youth Service section of our District website. These pages are intended to raise awareness of Rotarians, young people and those working with young people to the rich opportunities Rotary has to offer youth in D1100, and to be a source of information and support for those organising or thinking of organising a youth event.
It is hoped that Rotarians interested in youth opportunities will regard these pages as their own, put forward new ideas, share experiences and offer or seek advice. After all, recession or not, we are all members of a “Youth Investment” club.
A printable summary of all youth competitions and programmes can be seen at a glance by clicking on the attachment below. Further details on any specific item can be found by clicking on the appropriate tabs left. Upper tabs for competitions and lower for programmes.

Competitions are designed to encourage participation and boost confidence and self esteem. With the exception of Young Innovator, which is an inter district event ,all competitions lead to a National RIBI final through club, district then regional heats. Every club is entitled to enter our district competition. Where groups of clubs organise a joint local heat then each participating club is entitled to submit an entry. District and Regional competitions will follow RIBI national rules. But clubs may substitute differing rules for their own club competition.
Youth programmes will stimulate the interest and understanding of young people in their community and the world around them. All of them will help young people develop new friendships and equip them in later life to achieve their full potential.
News about competitions and programmes will appear on the Youth Opportunites News Page ("News") text link left.
Important youth diary dates likewise ( "Diary" ) text link left.
