This competition offers a chance to students from 7 yrs to 17 yrs to display their imagination, creativity and writing skills against those of other students nationwide. |
The competition has two categories, prose and poetry. Competitiors are required to submit a piece of writing, under one or both categories, on a given topic. The topic for 2011 is "Community Spirit".
There are three age groups ( ages calculated as at 31st august 2010) |

Entries will be judged on; |

Consistency with story and adherence to topic |
| ■ |
Interesting of story or theme and ability to complete the work within the required number of words. ( see rules below) |

Entries for the National competition have to submitted for judging by 1st May 2011. To fit in with that date the District competition must be completed by mid April 2011. Therefore clubs should submit their entries to Bryan Bamber by 31st March latest. Every rotary club is entitled to submit an entrant to each category and age group. The RIBI National rules are attached below. |
